WELCOME MESSAGE FROM OUR MAYOR
On behalf of our citizens, staff and members of Council, I extend a warm welcome to the historic Town of Grand Bank’s website. Please take the time to browse through our site for more information on our community.
We offer a diverse variety of activities and amenities for your enjoyment, whether it is a leisurely walk on our nature trail, or a more challenging walk winding its way around the Cape (Marine Hike). A walk through our downtown and wharf area will give you an opportunity to explore our unique cultural heritage. Bring your camera as you will want to take pictures of this very picturesque town.
In the summer time a must visit will be to the Mariners’ Memorial, the George C. Harris House, Seamen’s Museum, and the Bait Depot. Those four attractions provide an excellent overview of the town’s strong ties to the sea, its cultural history, and the men and women who laboured so hard in the fishing industry. A visit to the Municipal Center will provide a pictorial display on many aspects of life in Grand Bank going back over many years. We are proud of our Legion Room which shows many of our Veterans and regalia associated with their service to their country, and we must never forget the sacrifices they made in order for us to enjoy the peace and freedom we have today. Our Summer Festival is second to none with something for everyone!!!
Summer in Grand Bank would not be summer without the Grand Bank Regional Theatre. The theatre is proud to present productions with emphasis on the rich and unique culture of the Region. There are also comedy and music productions that will ensure you have a great time. Come experience some of the best live theater in the province.
If you are looking to start a business or relocate your business you will find a welcoming business climate in Grand Bank. Contact our town hall and we’ll be more then willing to assist you with any questions you may have.
Once you visit you will want to stay. Our schools, churches, volunteers, sports and recreation, and seniors facilities are second to none. There is also a new modern Health Care Clinic in the community. Grand Bank is an ideal place to work, raise a family and spend your retirement years. The people of Grand Bank are our most valuable resource, and you can always count on a warm friendly welcome.
We are proud of our community and what it offers, and I invite you to experience our great town. Thank you for visiting our website.

HAPPY RETIREMENT DR. BECKLEY

The Mayor, Councillors and staff joined with Dr. Beckley on the occasion of his retirement from his medical practice in Grand Bank. For many years Dr. Beckley served the people
of Fortune, Greater Lamiline Area and Grand Bank with distinction, he devoted his life to looking after and caring for others. His career impacted so many of our lives and had such a
positive effect on the whole area. Few careers are as stressful and requiring so much hard work as a doctor. Dr. Beckley was always there for us, and he can retire in the knowledge
that he helped so many people when they required medical attention!!!!
We wish Dr. Beckley a long, healthy and relaxing retirement, you deserve it for all the amazing work you’ve done.
